A powerful project that supports youth mental health, acceptance and inclusiveness.
Hastings Secondary College Westport Campus
The beautifully designed Yarrgal Djuyal, Ngukalil-Ngarralbaa Yarning Circle on Birpai Country (Gathang language) was a inclusive project involving school students, Hastings Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and the local Lions Club. A dedicated space for students, teachers, and community to come together and share stories, knowledge, and experiences.
OneMob Radio Youth Yarning Project
OneMob Radio engaged with local schools, Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and communities to give youth across Gumbaynggirr Country a taste of what it takes to work in radio production. Youth yarned about what was impacting their social and emotional wellbeing and were supported to research their chosen topics, write their own scripts, record their message and edit them.
