Doug Tutt has a long history in public health services, from traditional Local Government Health Protection, community youth health services, and as Director of a Local Health District Health Promotion Service.
He is best known for his work on using law enforcement to prevent smoking uptake by teens. The restriction of tobacco access remains the only long term examination of this in the world. Despite many and varied theoretical constructs in Health Promotion, he believes there is only one successful model… enough people with enough skill, with enough courage and doing it for long enough.
